The Outpost sits in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina, just off the road at Lake Toxaway. It began as a place to slow down: pan a bucket of gem dirt, drink a good cup of coffee, and take home something you would actually keep.
Why plants
The mountains around us stay green most of the year, and people kept asking whether they could take a little of it home. So we started shipping plants.
We pick varieties that survive real life: a north-facing apartment, a forgetful watering schedule, a house with a curious cat. Every plant we list is here because it is worth keeping alive.
How your plant gets to you
Plants ship directly from greenhouses in Southern California and Central Florida, whichever is closer to you, so they spend less time in a box. Orders are packed within 1 to 4 business days and usually arrive 2 to 4 business days after that.
When the weather turns cold, orders ship with winter protection so nothing freezes on the way.
